Shopping for spring clothes is something I love to do! There's just something about the colors of spring that make me sooooo happy. Like any college student you know I wanna look cute but also wanna get the most for my money (ballin' on a budget). Marshall's is always one of my go-to's for clothes, brand name clothing for an affordable price. In a rush I was looking through the racks to find something nice to wear. Thankfully I already have tons of shoes so I didn't have to worry about buying those. I ended finding this really cute off the shoulder Love Fire dress and tried it on. I wasn't ready at all, I didn't do my hair and I had no makeup on but I can see the potential in this dress! It ended up being on clearance and only cost me $15, talk about a deal! But I love love love this dress, the color, fit and style. I paired it with my favorite pair of nude heels. It's definitely one of those comfy dresses that is flowy but not too flowy you know? And the length was perfect!
So anyone who knows me knows that I love shopping, I love shoes, and I love me a good deal (who doesn't?!).
Back in November I went to Target with some friends and I saw these booties.
I immediately told myself I needed them. I tried them on right away and snapped a picture to show my mom. For some reason I still want her approval when I purchase things, mostly so I don't feel bad for spending money on my self. She told me that they were cute and to get them if I could afford to. At the time I was taking a financial class because I was in a ton of debt (embarrassing, I know) which I'll eventually write a blog about. So I was thinking in my head like "Just get them, they're so cute, you need them." But I was like "What's the responsible thing to do?" They were $40 so I ended up not getting them.
I was a little sad but then I was like, "Nahhhh girl you made the right choice."
So on New Years Day I go to Target to get some last minute stuff for my Costa Rica trip. And who ever goes to Target for only what they need? Ya, no one. So I have no clue why but I decided to take a walk to the shoe section. And boom there they were on the clearance rack for (dramatic pause).....50% off, yes I said it 50% OFF. So at this point I was like "OH MY GOD THANK YOU JESUS PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!"
Then I figured it was meant for me to buy them and that is how I ended up with these babies.
I know it's been a while (a whole month) since I've posted anything! I'm always like, "this is a blog-worthy outfit," but I've been lagging. This romper is absolutely one of my favorites. But let's be honest, all my clothes are my favorite! This cute distressed denim romper is from GUESS, I looked on their website and can't find it anymore, but I did buy it in store in May. I paired it with a statement necklace and Faux Suede Platform Sandals from Forever 21. BTW, those are my favorite sandals right now (yes everything is my favorite), but they're so great! I wear them with jeans, rompers and dresses, they literally go with everything. The sandals will have their own entry soon, so stay tuned!
For the longest time I've been wanting to start a blog and I figured that'll be my new goal for my 21st year of life! Of course my first post is featuring my birthday outfit. I wanted to wear something that would be cool for a summer day and comfortable enough to eat in. I absolutely love this floral romper from lauras-boutique.com. I paired it with some nude heels bought at Kohl's. Not only did I feel comfortable in this outfit it was also super affordable!
Stay tuned for my next post, until then keep slayin'.
